Born in London to a French father and American mother, Sid grew up primarily in Brazil. He has also lived in Kenya, Uganda, Istanbul, and Paris, returning to London in 2007 to study acting at The Poor School.
Since leaving the school he has given critically acclaimed performances at The Southwark Playhouse, Riverside Studios, The New Diorama, The Roundhouse, and many others in roles as diverse as Dionysus in The Bacchae and Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby.
Sid's recent film work includes Stephen Frears' Academy Award-nominated Florence Foster Jenkins (BBC FILMS, PATHÉ, QWERTY FILMS) in which he plays Corporal Jones alongside Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant. This is the second time he has worked with Frears, the first being as Tony in The Program (WORKING TITLE, STUDIOCANAL), with Ben Foster and Jesse Plemons.
Sid has just completed filming the lead role of Mel in RAV1043 (XFILM, 2017) alongside Fleabag's Sian Clifford, and is attached to two feature films from the directors Carl Strathie and Tom Large respectively.
Aside from conventional acting work, Sid is one of the writers for The New Establishment, and is writing a musical called Trying to be Better, about the small battles of pressure and resistance that make up life.
His slam poem, #HeForShe, was screened at The London Short Film Festival in January. He has also partnered with Immersiv.ly to create a one-man Virtual Reality experience testing the boundaries between VR and live performance.
Sid is based primarily in London.
